How I think about this work

I believe that sexual compulsion and betrayal are both, at heart, injuries of connection. Neither is simply a failure of character, and neither heals through shame. People change when they feel safe enough to be honest, and when they are met with steadiness instead of judgment.

Recovery rests on three things: safety, in the body and in the relationship; honesty, with yourself first and then with the people who matter; and connection, the ability to be close to others without fear or escape. I work to build all three, at a pace your nervous system can handle.

I also believe that those who struggle with sex addiction and the partners who have been hurt by it each deserve their own care. Healing for one does not depend on the other.

Who I work with

I work mostly with individuals, particularly men struggling with sex addiction and compulsive sexual behavior, and with partners dealing with betrayal. I also see couples when it is a good fit.

• Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)
• Certified Brainspotting Therapist
• Certified Brainspotting Consultant
• Training in Emotionally Focused Therapy (Levels 1 and 2)
• Training in Internal Family Systems (Level 1)
• Study and application of interpersonal neurobiology (Dan Siegel) and polyvagal theory

• In-person sessions in Lakewood, NJ and surrounding areas
• Video sessions in some cases, when clinically appropriate
• Private pay; out-of-network, with a superbill provided
